The first 20% of the novel is almost entirely updates. There are so many people and groups in this story that it takes that long to update the reader on what everyone is doing.
At the 40% mark the novel shifts into about two months worth of preparation and training. Everyone in the guild gets training galore. Dave learns new skills, gets loads of stats, and crafts some pretty nifty stuff. The Stone Raider’s Guild also builds a hub that they plan to make the center of Emerilla and there’s lots of construction stuff. There are personal developments for characters you’ve come to like, including some that just made me go ‘Awwwww’.
At the 60% mark, Lord Esamael finally makes his grab for power and not only attacks his own king but the Stone Raiders too. Lots and lots of fighting. If you were looking forward to seeing Lord Esamael get his due, you won’t be disappointed.
Overall, a good story if you enjoy crafting, kingdom building, and action.
Score: 7 out of 10.

Stone Raiders' Return Emerilia Book 6 eBook Michael Chatfield Reviews
Good book. Need more. Good book. Need more. Good book. Need more. Good book. Need more. Good book. Need more. Stupid required word count for reviews.
Our heroes are working well together and learning how to overcome the odds through innovative methods. As they increase their personal power, they find ways to help their allies in the goal of freeing their planet.
The Stone Raiders finally show their true power. They are caught up in an attempt by a mad Lord to take over a kingdom. He plans to crush them and steal their stuff. Then he'll use it to take the kingdom. Too bad he thinks they're a bunch of push overs.
It's like the beautiful test-tube baby of Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons, and The Matrix.
I don't have a damn clue how he's managing to keep all this stuff from collapsing on itself by being too complex, but he's *definitely* doing something right!
Here when I thought that our heroes are at the top of the world, he plays a fast one and introduce level 500 and level 1000 enemies...
I am now again interested in how they progress. I hope Michael does not go crazy with Power Creep again.
Regardless is a very fun book to read from cover to cover.
Some of the best male and female relations between the main characters in recent memory. A fun premise and cathartic. By consistently providing entertaining work the author has easily earned the trust and support of his readers. The dialogue flows well, the plot and subplots are believable and entertaining. Foreshadowing is not overbearing and while a clearly transhumanist work in practice also clearly not targeted to insult people of faith..
Well worth buying the series.
These books are exactly what I want from a litrpg. The protagonist has a clear progression, while there is definitely plot armor, the build up to it and the explanations afterwords are well within what I would expect to be possible for the story. Romances actually progress, and while it can at times be unrealistic (there are a couple "perfect" couples) its always a side aspect of the story, so you never get overwhelmed. Comedy is present in spades, even in the romance parts, letting me greatly enjoy even the non action parts of the book. The ending action in this book was bad a**, and left me excited for the next book.
My only complaint is that the plot progression is very similar in every book. The story focuses on the exposition and rising action for most of the book, while the last hundred pages or so is the climax and resolution. This means there is often only a very short resolution, and the rest of the resolution is treated as the exposition in the next book. This is not a big problem however, as the books are still very entertaining (see above), but the lack of a longer resolution and a overly long exposition in each book can at times be a little boring. It was in these times where I hoped for some small burst of action (fighting monsters, guilds etc).
Summary This is obviously the sixth book. If you enjoyed the previous five, then definitely buy this book as it just builds on what you loved in the previous books. However, If you have noticed my complaint in the previous books, be prepared for the same type of arc. (If you haven't noticed it, then ignore this post)
