This bok was excellent because of the story line & the good vs bad plot.

Emma Wallace is part of the Stake-Out team but, has hated vampires since they killed her parents. She saw their deaths in her father's eyes as they were mentally linked. She had been going with Austin to Central Park to kill bad vampires in the 2nd book until he was on the reality show & had killed several since then. She met Angus MacKay in the park & at 1st thought him to be human.

Angus MacKay had come over from London to help Roman prepare for the birth of his son & just happened to be in Central Park when he met Emma. As the night progressed & he got to know her a little better he wanted to protect her even if its from herself. The next night when she accidentally traps him & learns that he's a vampire & tries to stake him he just laughs as he knows that he's faster & stronger than her. He's was also enjoying her warrior traits & falling a little in love with her.

Now, that is only a smidgen of what happens in this book & as I don't like giving much away you will have to read this book in order to find out what happens next. This book has some a vampire sex scene in it & a regular sex scene in it; some fight scenes, kidnapping scene & hiring a new employee scene that makes Emma like Angus a little more.

i love the frist book. u should read this book if u like vampire book.It was very decide, so you are not adult to not read it. The decide the sex scene in very detail. I like the book. I was sad and happy about the ending. I wish the sex see were a little longer. The charters in book one have boy at the end of this book. The girl father finally gives up hunting the vampires down and save his daughter because she happy where she is. The main charters in the book are the bodyguard of the charters in books one and a person who works with the father. The main girl is name Emma and the bodyguard who a vampire is name Angus. They fall in love. But Emma says it will not last. But only if he was a human. She finally has sex with him almost at the end of the book. At the end, they get kidnaped by bad vampires and Emma as to be turn into vampire to still alive. The guy from the first book offer to turn her back human. She wants to stay the way she is. They all love an eternity in happiest. You should read this book. I give it A+++++.
If you've seen all of the Harry Potter movies you might recall the scene where Harry's cousin has a hissy fit over recieving fewer birthday presents than the year before. Forgive me if this analogy is too far out there but I believe that 'Be Still My Vampire Heart' is like those 30-something presents the year before in that Ms. Sparks must exceed the exceptionally high standards for the series she set in this book. It's possible the first two books were even better but I never read them.

Angus McSomething is a compassionate vampire hero who finds himself falling in love with a vampire slayer who is intent on killing him. CIA operative by day and psychic slayer by night, Emma Wallace cannot fathom the idea that there are good vampires as well as bad. Every vampire she meets MUST be evil like those who killed her parents. So Angus makes it his mission to enlighten her and get her to retire before she not only gets herself killed but starts a war between good and bad vamps.

So what I loved about this book and I hope you will too include the following
- Angus was awesome despite being a little bit self-depreciating. And imagine a man who sees the good in a fierce warrior woman despite her obvious ignorance and prejudice regarding his life er... lifestyle. He also turns out to be a thorough gentleman.
- That Emma could truly hold her own in a fight. Too often authors tell you that the heroine is independent and capable of defending herself without supporting that assertion
- Their relationship was definitely unlike either of the previous two's
- The secondary characters young Ian, gangster McPhee, wise Roman, and Jean Luc
- Ms.Spark's logic did work. Humans can be good and bad so why can't vampires? The vampires don't just poof in and out of crowded areas in an arrogant manner. Even the way in which the nuissance CIA team tracks the vampires makes total sense. I don't know about you but I need a bit of real life in my fiction.

Of course I disliked some things too
- I tired of the kilts... and the purse jokes. I respect a man who hangs on to tradition as much as the next woman but I suspect Angus hung on enough for two men.
- The heroine's thoughts were a tad repetitive but that couldn't really be helped.
- Besides mentioning Edinburg a few times and refering to her deceased mother as 'Mum', Emma did not seem to be Scottish. There may have been an accent (which is debatable) but her words were that of an average twenty-something American. She had knowledge of Scottish objects but didn't fight in a Scottish manner or use Scottish weapons.
- The future of the couple is open and slightly unclear

This book is definitely a BUY.
Emma is determined to stake all vampires and has been patrolling Central Park. She has eliminated 3 evil vamps, but the Malcontents think that Roman's vampires are behind the killings. Angus needs to stop Emma before war breaks out between the two sides.

Emma is one tough spunky woman but it's going to take a lot of work to convince her that good vampires exsist. Fun series.
