Bought this for my daughter's school assignment, was helping her to take notes and found I cannot put it down- a fascinating person. My kid on the other hand has a hard time, because it isn't really written for a 7th grader with a learning disability( hence my helping), but when you have a report on a person and they write an autobiography, of course you have to have it in your references. I on the other hand, have a lovely happenstance of a book I intend to finish and read for enjoyment.

Passionate about the cause since she suffered through it!
I never expected to get the actual manuscript, corrections,remarks and all, when I bought this book. It's a copy of the original manuscript, warts and all. It's really good reading. Gives a true insight as to what she had to actually go through to help get women the vote.
I learned a great deal from this book, and it really made me more aware of the great debt I owe those who came before me. I love to vote, and wish everyone did. It is shameful how many women...and men...dhoose to not vote.
From the first page I was pulled in. She not only rights with amazing skill, but the story alone is amazing, and unbelievable!
once you pick it up and start reading. Highly Recomended for history buffs who enjoy intense and compelling factual events.
wow what a story. it really tells how women fought for our human rights. we need more herstory. easy to read
An interesting insight into the development of women's Suffrage in the UK. Unfortunately the attitudes of the time are still widespread worldwide and can even be found in some sectors of society in the developed world. The style of writing is a bit dated but the message is still relevant today.
